... Yeah I'm not entirely sure what caused the damage the first time around, but I personally think Biosilk had something to do with it... I always use some kind of product before I iron, but Biosilk in particular has a very high alcohol content. ... (5 replies)
... Again, I have to say Biosilk Silk therapy is the best for protecting from heat damage and making hair glide through the iron and look smooth/shiny. Biosilk is made by FAROUK who also makes the CHI iron (which in my opinion is the best as well) Especially with daily use, you need a heat protectant. I have tried many from pro to nonpro ones and this is what I always return... (23 replies)

... For a heat protecting spray, the V05 miracle mist is a great priced one.. and Matrix Sleek Look Iron Smoother is similar but a salon brand. ... (19 replies)
... I don't know about biosilk- but Redken makes a product called heat glide that is really good for that (9 replies)

... HI All! I have been reading the opinions about Biosilk Silk Therapy - everyone seems to like it. I just can't figure out which bottle it is! I am looking for the one you put on dry hair before you use the ceramic flat iron. Is it a spray? What does the bottle look like? Help!! Rubydoo  (9 replies)
... Alright girls. I've been straightening my hair with flat irons for about five years now, so I've been through my share of the things. I've posted here before about my latest iron (I bought it about a year ago) that was really expensive and bla bla. It was called "YESI" and I've tried looking it up before, but couldn't even find information on it. Weird. Well this $200 one... (5 replies)
... You generally get what you pay for in appliances. Ceramics make a HUGE difference in straightening esp. if you do it daily. A higher end iron usually has temperature regulation, etc. that lower ones dont. I wouldnt even flat iron without a ceramic iron and biosilk. ... (23 replies)
... It came with free Biosilk Silk Therapy and the place I bought it from had a 20 year warranty, so that part made me feel a lot better. ... (19 replies)

My question is... how is this any different from the wetness by a heat protectant spray? When I use any heat protectant it puts a little bit of moisture in my hair.. whether or not it's a spray/cream/or like Biosilk. I never use... (31 replies)
... Did you get your chi from a regular dept. store or a beauty product store? Thanks! :) I'm excited now, didn't think it would last til you shampoo. (9 replies)
