... Do you realize the drugs you are getting are anti siezure drugs. Lamicatal, Depakope and lithium are the mood stabalizers I Know of no other in my travels. ... Has anyone heard of using Abilify to "reset" Lamictal? I have been on Lamicatal for 3 and a half years now and I hit the max does (400mg) about a year ago. My new doc gave me the Abilify to reset the Lamictal since it became apparent to me that it was no longer working. Has anyone else ever done this and if so did it work? :confused: (27 replies)

... Thanks but I am only takig the Lactimal for 12 days? Im still on the 25mg starter pack? Is it normal that my Pdoc does not want me on anything else besides the lactimal and avitan? I was thinking maybe takig lexapro as well, or do they normally give you that after the mood stabilzer has been in your system a while? (35 replies)

... cattownfl, There is a good chance that this could be the Lamictal. In the beginning Activation stages of Lamicatal, meaning the first month or so, agitation, anxiety, and anger are not unusual. This is just the med working it's way into your system to get things "realigned". This is pretty normal with Lamictal, and the best thing to do is make sure you have your ativan... (35 replies)

I just want to say about Lamictal: I am also on Lamictal, and it was not a "wonder drug" that immediately made me feel better. ... Pronounced memory loss here! Glad you brought this up. I am taking Lamicatal also, have mentioned the memory loss to doc several times, he says it is not memory loss, says I am "not paying attention" referring to rushing thoughts, which I had not thought about being a dynamic before.
