... Hi, Sorry to jump in on your conversation about good mood stabilizers but I thought it might be good to tell you what has worked for me. I was diagnoed in 2003 after receiving a diagnosis of depression for years. I have been on several different meds....lithium, depakote, zyprexa, abilify, to name a few. 2 years ago I was put on Limictal. It took awhile but it worked for me.... (31 replies)

... I love, love, love abilify. That (along with limictal) is what keeps me stable. It helps keep the voice in my head quiet and keeps my mood swings in check. I highly recomend it. I also haven't had very many side effects. Welcome to the boards, steamroll (19 replies)

I've had a hard time trusting doc's in general due to some REALLY bad physical reactions to misdiagnosis of recurrent lymes disease. Which is good, because I've learned to I still don't feel good. ... I am not a doctor, but it sounds like you are having the symptoms of a psychotic episode, which can happen with bipolar disorder. When I was going thru a psychotic episode, I "got lost" in a familliar place. I forgot where i was, who i was, and what time it was. It lasted an hour or two. I experience confusion with my surroundings like I'll be driving and suddenly forget where I am or not be able to find my way out of a park I been goin to for years. ... batmantis I have been taking Lamictal since August of last year, and not had a rash. I have heard that it is rare. I did try to find pictures of it on the net at one time, and couldn't. Is it anywhere but where the sunburn was? If you at all in doubt, I would say contact your doctor right away! (2 replies)
