Ok,

I recently started to go back on bcp after several months of being off of it.
I intially stopped because I got migraines everytime I started the placebo pills, then I started reading more articles about the effects of hormonal bc and wanted to stop.

I went back on because I fear getting pregnant, i was freaking out every month because my period would never come when I expected it and my periods were extremely painful the day they started I could barely get out of bed.

Anyways, I started back on the pill at first i my entire body felt weird, shaky, a lingering headache, some nausea. and I was really really irritable. I'm almost on my second week and things have evened out a lot. However, I started feeling "short of breath", it IS allergy season and I have respiratory problems around this time of year.

I can say that when I was a child i'd experience shortness of breath and sharp chest pains when I inhaled. They subsided and weren't consistent as I got older. However, there were a few times over several years that I would inhale and get a sharp pain in my chest that would eventually go away. I was on birth control for 6 years and now that i've looked into bcp lately, i've been finding out about blood clots and how common they are.

I'm freaking out because I think I have blood clots which have caused me to have these sharp pains over my lifetime. I went to urgent care this weekend because my elbow felt weird and my hand was feeling a little tingly (which has gone away). I wanted make sure I wasn't going to have a stroke or die, come to find out i would've had to pay $135 because I was a first time patient and did not have my insurance card! So anyways i didn't end up seeing the doctor because I don't have the money. And I did not want to go to the emergency room since I didn't truely feel any pain.

I keep having anxiety over the blood clot thing, but I've also been reading so many horror storieson the internet. Also, my dad at 63 had a mild stroke a few months ago.

Does anyone have any anecdotes about being overly paranoid about the pill and finding out it was nothing? I know this isn't really a joking manner, but with all this alarming literature on the internet and person can't help but freak themselves out.

Also, i know there are blood tests to check for blood clots and susceptability does anyone know what they're callled?
i've been on the pill for less tahn two months and already I've thought I had a blood clot like 10 times! I am super paranoid. I also had some difficulty breathing the first month I was on it, but the doctors couldn't figure out why. Are you very sensitive to medication, and a generally anxious person to begin with? Because I am, lol.

i guess i am just hyper sensitive to the pill. i was wondering if it were more of an allergic reaction. when i was on ortho lo i'd get rashes on my hand that went away when i went off of them. i do have atopy so i'm sure that factors in somewhere
