Birth Control Board Index

I'm 19 years old and have been on birth control for about 2 and a half years. I'm currently on Junel Fe and have been for the past year or so. I have never missed a period before so I am a bit worried.

While on my last pack, I was late taking my pills 2 different days during the 2nd week. I did however take two pills when I got around to taking the pill both of those times, just to make sure. However, because of my irregularity in taking my pills that week, I had really heavy breakthrough bleeding -- almost like a full-fledged period -- for nearly a week (when in a normal cycle I would be "ovulating"). Then, once I got to my inactive pills, when I would normally get my period, I never got my period. Now, I'm two weeks into my next pack and, although I have been experiencing cramps like I'm going to get my period, there has not been one drop of blood. I also have been having headaches on and off for the past few days and I was nauseous the other night, but I should note that I'm a stressed out Biology major..haha.

My boyfriend and I had sex multiple times last month, both before and after the breakthrough bleeding, but we have always been extremely careful and he has never ejaculated while still in me.

Is it possible that because I had such a heavy bout of breakthrough bleeding that I just ended up skipping my period? Or is there a chance I'm pregnant?

Please help! Thanks!
