... tarted bleeding again late on the 7th, finally got my prescription back the 9th and started taking them then. I am still bleeding. Before I ever started taking BC pills I had really long, really heavy periods, like at least 2 wks usually closer to 3. I am wondering if the lower doseage of Yaz isn't strong enough for me. ... ... Yea I would contact your doctor. Typical signs on a blood clot are redness in the area, pain or tenderness with touch, and most of the time it's in your leg. Because dvt's are a side effect of BC i would be extra careful with any calf pain. ... (3 replies)

... I've been on yaz for over 6 months now and I love it. I had virtually no side effects at all. I never had any breakthrough bleeding. The only side effect I have ever had was swollen breasts for one week of the first pack. The benefit of yaz over yasmin, is that your period is shorter. ... (1 replies)
