... When I got my IUD, they also gave me a pad to wear. I only bled for a couple of hours and it was very light...not worth a pad or a tampon. I used a panty liner. Yes, you can use tampons when you get your period. Your doctor probably just wanted to give your body a rest. (1 replies)

... I am thinking about getting the merena (sp) iud put in and was wondering what people who have it or had it thought about it and some of the side effects that you can have with it. I have researced it but i would like to know from people who acutally have had it think about it. (5 replies)

You might take a look at womenshealthmatters.ca or homeandhealthtv.co.uk for starters.
