I went to a new gyno in 2005 and she switched me to Apri and sent me for a sonogram to see if everything was OK, which it was. I... (1 replies)

... You should start with the outer circle. There should either be a "1" or "start here" or something to that effect at the first pill. I remember when I used Ortho Tri, the first pills were white, and the placebos were green. ... (3 replies)

... I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 5 months, and next month I will be starting Ortho Tri-Cyclen instead. Tri-Sprintec is the generic version of the latter, so I'm assuming there won't be any difference with side effects, etc (I've had none)? Also! With the pill I am on now, it is set up in 4 rows of 7 pills. The active ones are blue, and the placebos are white. My new pill pack... (3 replies)
... Right, you do not need condoms for the first week. Because still taking a pill, it's not like you're stopping taking them and then starting again some random time in the future. Because you're starting when you would've started your old pack, then there is no reason to use backup. (3 replies)
... I know I take them as usual, but does that mean I do not need to use condoms the first week of the pills? Thank you for your help! (3 replies)
... No, you can just start the new pills whenever you would've started your new pack of the other pills and keep taking them as usual. (3 replies)

... I have been where you are. When I was kicked off my parents insurance I wanted to find a cheaper way of getting birth control pills. Generics are cheaper than brand names; and it is just a matter of finding the best one for you. That is something you need to discuss with your doctor. I am taking Tri-Sprintec (which is the generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen) and get it at Walmart... (2 replies)

... I tried Kariva as well when Ortho Tri Cyclen (Tri Sprintec) gave me horrible mood swings. I was on Kariva for maybe about 2 weeks when I noticed my appetite was completely gone and I lost about 10% of my total body weight, and I'm very small to begin with. Also, I experienced terrible depression and mood swings. I was taking a vitamin B complex throughout my entire time of... (5 replies)
... I think I have been on a new birth control ever year since I first started taking it 4-5 years ago. Is it bad to switch it that often? I'm on Tri-sprintec, a generic version of ortho tri-cyclen. My Derm. says it has a tendency to cause acne (which is a major battle for me), but, in college, i can't afford the brand name version. If it's okay to switch birth... (2 replies)
