... hi all, i was on yasmin for the last two years, i just went off it a few days ago. before yasmin i was on ortho try-cyclin lo and hated it. it caused me to be an emotional wreck and made me gain weight. i didn't have any of those problems on yasmin. no weight gain, no mood swings, no acne, etc. so overall i was very happy with yasmin. the only thing that did happen... Any time I've ever been off the pill, my periods have been quite regular 28 day cycles, but I did have a huge amount of stress when I was due to get my period the first month, so I really wasn't surprised much when I was late, but at this point the stress has settled somewhat. ... I had the same problem with OTC Lo, so I switched pills. What you may want to do is try taking the pill at night, and hopefully you're symptoms/problems will be gone by the time you get up in the morning. (2 replies)

... The right birth control pill depends on the individual and there is no birth control that are better than others. For some people a monophasic pills works better for others its a triphasic the one that works best. Actually triphasic bc pills are suppose to have the least side effects because it mimics more the natural hormone changes that occur in a woman normal cycle. (5 replies)
