... I was wondering what the difference between say orthotricyclin and orthotricyclin lo is. If you use the ones with more hormones does it increase the side effects such as breasts enlarging? ... (2 replies)
... There really isn't much of a difference between Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. There's only like 5mcg difference in stength of the one hormone. It's unlikely that you would have had a problem switching from one to the other. If you did well on the one, the other most likely wouldn't have been a problem. You won't know what's "right" for you, unless you try... (3 replies)
... I have a rather silly question about birth control. Early this year i became sexually active and went to my school's clinic to get pills. the doctor told me i should take Orthotricyclin but he didn't have sample so instead gave me orthotricyclin lo (two months and a prescription for the 3rd). This sudden change made me too intimidated to take them and i didn't, this was in... (3 replies)

... I have been on orthotricyclin for years now. I used to take it perfectly when I was sexually active. Recently I got out of a relationship and haven't been AS good at taking them. ... (2 replies)
... I recently had to switch from OrthoTricyclin Lo(was on it for 3 yrs) to TriNessa due to insurance reasons. I've been on this pill for 3 wks now and have just started spotting. My ques is does this mean the pill isn't strong enough for my body? I thought it was the generic form of Ortho Lo so how could that be? When i made the switch my dr told me to just start the new pill... (2 replies)
... Hi Everyone- I've been on the pill different times in my life--orthotricyclin-lo and allesse most recently--and have always hated it. Depo-provera shots were a disaster, too. Hormones seemto make me moody and depressed, gain weight and give me problems with dryness. I've been with my bf for a while now and we want to stop using condoms, but don't want to get pregnant. ... ... It sounds to me like tri sprintec is far inferior to orthotricyclin. My girlfriend has been on tri-sprintec for almost a year, and while it made her periods regular, they were mcuh heavier than they had ever been before. She also started getting terrible cramps and her face broke out pretty badly for a while. It seemed to stabilize for a while, but now the cramps are back... (6 replies)
... It can happen with any pill, so it obviously can happen with Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. You won't know until you try it. (5 replies)
... hey, this is my first time being on the pill and I've heard alot of people saying that their breasts and hips got larger while being on the pill. Did this happen to anyone while being on Orthotricyclin? (5 replies)
... What you're experiencing doesn't sound like a period, just spotting. Periods don't generally stop suddenly after 2 hrs the 1st day they arrive. You said you've been on BC for only 3 mos. though which really isn't very long. It will take time for your body to adjust. When I 1st got on the pill (bout 7 yrs ago) I had the same problem w/ spotting. But with time that should clear... (4 replies)
... It's unlikely that you're pregnant. Illness can cause a delay in your period, which is probably what's happening in your case. (3 replies)
