... I think that as the horomons act locally in the uterus it can thin the uterine lining so much that menstruation ceases, however, I am not sure that it affects ovulation. You might want to check this one with your doctor. (55 replies)

Also, I have read that Mirena not paragard has an increased chance of ovarian cysts-- sounded bad enough alone to make me want paragard instead.
