... They're common, and they almost never represent a serious health risk. If you're not in terrible pain, I'd just wait for them to go away. You can help by applying witch hazel soaked compresses after BMs and making sure to avoid constipation and straining (fiber, water, etc). (3 replies)

... I had to go in to have scar tissue removed in my rectum that another doctor had botched during trying to cut open an anal fistula. The new surgeon found 2 big hemmoroids and lazered them off and I didn't have any pain from that procedure. Perhaps you could check with a rectal colon specialist about lazer surgery. ... I am having problems too. I have had mine banded twice at the hospital, the last time 3 weeks ago and they ahve come back. I am now taking Ispaghula husk and using suppositres and hopefully they will have me backin hospital and cut the buggers out as they are doing my head in.
