... i was told i had ibs because of long term antibiotic use, but i am afraid something more serious is wrong are these symptoms common of ibs? after i eat i have the urge to go to the bathroom, stomach rumbles and i just done feel like i relieve myself completely. after coffee i have to go and certain foods. also my stool used to be brown, now it is thinner and breaks up and... ... You most likely have internal hemorrhoids and maybe anal fissure which account for the blood on your stool. Straining and forcing to pass stools is one of the biggest culprits of hemorrhoids ans fissures. Also,if the doctor didn't tell you to stay off red meats and any foods that may contain red dye or foods like beets for somewhere between 2-4 days before the fecal occult... (1 replies)
