I do know some people who opted to not be put out, but it's hard to relax your rectal muscles and that can make the procedure harder. ... Hi Dana, Have you tried using a lubricant and pushing the hem back in after each movement? The Nitoroglycerine ointment can relax the overly tight sphincter allowing the blood to drain back to the heart as it should. Ask your doc for a prescription (and for some antibiotic too.) just be sure to dilute it with hand cream or vaseline or you could get a headache. Ron (12 replies)

... Tammy, Thanks again for that additional tip. I had blood strings in my stool this morning which has discouraged me once again. There was more blood at clean up then usual too. I'm really not sure just what at this point is bleeding. I'm worry that the irritation pimple is going to or already is bleeding and will turn into yet another cut or fissure. I hope you are right...
