Pain in the Brain
Dec 3, 2003
First of all let me start by saying I have Lupus. I have not been on medication in the last 2 years. The problem I am having now is a horrible sharp pain in the right side of the brain. It does not last very long, maybe 30 seconds. Sometimes it will hit back to back maybe 10 seconds in between. Sometimes it hurst so bad I can't hardly move or it will hurt down the same side of my neck. After the sharp pain leaves the same spot on the brain burns for a while. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now. No certain time of the day or night (even when I am asleep it will wake me). Any ideas.
I also have been diagnosed with lupus around 4 years ago. Does the pain on the right side of your brain feel like stings or static shocks. No one can seem to figure out what I'm talking about when I try to explain my feelings. My symptoms seem to be similar to your except mine does not hurt my neck. I am really scared...a MRI and brain scan does not show anything.

Hi,
I have the similar problem too. It feels like a tingling pain in just a few seconds and may come back again in seconds or minutes. I felt it a the top right back side of my head. Any comments so far on what's the potential problem is? I notice I had this after a streneous badminton game.
tks.
