Scared about MRI
May 29, 2002
I have been dealing on and off with problems with vertigo, fatigue, weakness, muscle spasms, and "pins & needles" in my hand. At first, we thought it was a reaction to minocycline I had been taking for a while, but since I have been off the minocycline, I am still having the symptoms. The most frustrating of them is this feeling that, whenever I turn my head, my eyes just take a few minutes to catch up.

I had one MRI that showed a "small bright spot," which the neurologist dismissed as a result of migraine headaches. I spoke with his nurse yesterday, who has scheduled another MRI and an appt with the neurologist a few days later.

In the mean time, I am very afraid of what they may find. I have told myself (and God) that, whatever it is, as long as it is not deadly, I will be content. Something like MS would not be fun, but I'm very afraid it is a brain tumor. I also get this weird pulsing in my sinuses off and on.

Does anyone recognize these symptoms. If it had been a brain tumor, could the first MRI have missed it? Just curious if anyone has had a similar situation...
