Hi,
I was diagnosed two weeks ago with a pituitary tumor. We found it while being checked for ear problems (MRI). i have vision problems, dizziness, and general feeling of off balance. My TSH, T3, T4 levels seem okay. The neuropthalmologist say my eyes jump when I try to focus on something. Having more blood test run. Don't really have any hormonal problems except maybe lack of interest in sex. Also diagnosed with severe tricuspid regurgitation. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? My endo appt is June 1st.

What kind of vision problems do you have? I have had an off balance feeling for almost 10 months. going for an eng in two weeks to check my eyes / ears. I also have some vision issues, tired eyes, i see some slight ghosting of images when looking at contrasting colors backrounds, slightly grainy vision almost. Now im worried...any other symptoms?

Adam
Hi Adam,
I had an ENG done and it was not fun for me. Good luck with that. My vision problems are kinda hard to describe. It is not that they do any one thing, but I don't focus on things at the same time, meaning my eyes jump when I focus on an object. Sometimes when I am reading something, it makes me dizzy. If I turn my head too fast, it makes me dizzy. I have to use my upper body to turn and look at something rather than just turning my head. Looking up or to the side for too long will also cause the dizziness. I have had major ear problems in the past. I had a cholesteatoma removed and the bones in my ear reconstructed. They thought that it was growing (cholesteatoma) back and that was why I had an MRI done. My ears are fine and had several (3) balance tests done and no inner ear problems. I have a pituitary tumor and we are trying to see if that is causing my eye problems. My blood work came back good, so it is a nonfunctioning tumor. Going to see the neurosurgeon soon, the neuro opthalmologist referred me to him to get a second opinion. Maybe they will do an MRI for you if your ear tests come back normal. I hope it goes well for you.

Amy
