Brain tumour?
Apr 16, 2009
I'm only twenty but I'm scared I have a tumour. I have a small lump on the left side of my skull (my left) and have some slight trouble when walking. My left leg sort of slips over towards my right leg, and although I don't look lopsided I sometimes feel like it. Also, when you touch certain areas of my head, it feels almost bruised, and the pain is like that of an ice-pick headache.

The thing is, I've always been a hypochondriac since I was a little girl, and I also have a phobia of going to the doctor. I've left it so long that I don't know what to do. I'm just scared all the time - I'm too young for this sort of thing (that's what I tell myself anyway). Therefore, I don't know a lot about disorders and the like, so if there's anything else it may be I'd like to know about it so that, if I go to a doctor, I can be armed with some sort of knowledge.

Any help at all is appreicated.

ETA: I've also had a lot of back and neck pain lately, needling sensations in my neck, that sort of thing.

And regarding the lump, I don't know how long I've had it - I seem to recall it being there several years ago when washing my hair. I don't know if it's gotten bigger. I know some people just have bumpy heads.
