Brain & Nervous System Disorders Board Index

Hello going crazy8!!!!

Well I feel honored to meet you! After reading your thread on the anxiety board it is so cool to meet you!So glad you responded to my thread here.:)

That is so strange that you are Vitamin D deficient also.Did the dr. put you on a Vitamin D supplement? All 3 of my drs. disagree on the treatment for it so right now I'm just getting outside in the sun for at least 15 minutes everyday...also I'm using the Shedd's spread with added vitamin D,butternut whole grain white bread with added vitamin D and eatting chicken(for the protein as my GP dr. told me I need).I do not want to lose anymore weight for sure. Also I'm eatting Nutrigrain cherry cereal bars for snacks. There are so many foods I just can't tolerate so it's a real chore finding stuff I csn eat.:(

Well I am just wondering if I have that celiac disease or h.pylori...I'm going to ask my dr. to do those blood tests to check. They say a D deficiency could be caused by those so I hope something shows up in tests.....I am really fed up with not getting anywhere with the drs.

So did you get your B12 level checked? If not you need to...B12 & D seem to be the ones that are deficient together.I'm wondering now if my good friend Bill(Benit) here is D deficient also...that's make 3 of us with all these symptoms having some things in common...I like that..it makes me feel like we can help each other.:)

I remember the night I started reading your posts...I stayed up reading it from start to finish....I was truly hoping the h.pylori being treated would be the thing that "cured" your symptoms....I felt badly for you when it didn't...but not to worry, because I have faith that we are going to get better...we have to!

If I recall crrectly you used to have a few drinks now and then and also Bill did too.I never drink...I'm serious...the last time I had alcohol I was 18 yrs.old and that is the truth.I was dx with hypoglycemia in 1975 so I quit caffeine and stayed away from that 'til this day.So I just mention the alcohol, because that is the thing we don't have in common.I think Bill isn't drinking anymore.

Back to the B12 issue....yeah low B12 presents with numerous neurological symptoms...you can be in the "low normal range" and still be a mess. Please get your B12 checked..."normal" is 200-1100,but you need to be above 400....my new neuro said once you are deficient you should never be below 500...I can't believe I finally found a dr. who knows something.

I also get that weird head feeling if I put pressure on my arms(like leaning on my desk),leaning back in a chair putting pressure on my back, standing in one position....I hate feeling like I'm so fragile that I could break....I'm wondering if it's the low vitamin D......and let me know if you're taking a D supplement or not....thanx so much~

I will definitely keep in touch with you...I'll post back on your thread and/or here.

Seriously I thank you so much

Bill

well I was reading about "pain between the shoulder blades"today...I shouldn't have, because it went on to say that it could be liver cancer, esophageal(sp?)cancer, gall bladder...yuck....I was interested in that, because occasionally I get that pain there...all these sx...what to doooooo?

what bothered me about what I read was that problems with the liver can cause night sweating...interesting,isn't that?plus it said you could have a
discomfort feeling under right ribs(I have that!)....I still need to get that CT scan done....wonder if anything would show...whenever I have tests they're either normal or show something that the drs. can't help me with?that is frustrating.

no I never was a nurse...I was a caregiver though, but I never mentioned that on the boards.you think I know a lot about medical things...well it comes from being loaded with sx and drs. not doing jack to dx me...hahaha...I had the best medical books, but after I got better and thought I wouldn't be ill anymore I got rid of all those books...wish I didn't do that...oh well...can't cry over things like that.

what you said about the nasal spray when you used it....sounds like it did something in there....did you ever try a steroid nasal spray?I'm trying to remember which is which with headaches...they say one kind gets better when you lie down and the other kind gets worse..I think tension gets better & pressure gets worse(which would be like in your case)when you lie down.Head pressure is actually considered a headache.

well anyways I got liver cancer on my mind tonight...now I really feel like a hypochondriac....but that purple bruise type thing on my back is concerning me just a little....plus the pain between my shoulder blades(that eased up after a couple hours...)....

so then your head pressure feels less when you're standing and the worst when your lying down?man I wish you could have a CT scan of your sinuses Bill....did you ever have one?You need a good ENT dr. who knows his stuff...how can you suffer for so many years...you are stronger than you think.....

have a good night....Scout

Believe me, I know all about being a hypochondriac and looking up symptoms, and finding something very unsettling. But I've finally learned not to look into serious diagnoses too much, only to "graze" on that data here and there, rather than look into all the details and try to find links to my Sx. I used to get anxiety attacks from that.

Yes, my pressure is almost always worse when lying down and a little better when standing. Does that really seem like a sinus problem to you?

I still don't see how head pressure could be caused by migraine. I have head pressure constantly. But I have never heard of anyone who has a migraine 24/7. A website about migraines I went to recently said that migraines are not constant, at least.

The second time I used the nasal spray was like the first--the pressure "shifted"--but still, no drainage, and no relief. The saline actually leaked back into my throat and gave me some irritation. I'll continue, nonetheless.
