Brain & Nervous System Disorders Message Board

Brain & Nervous System Disorders Board Index

I have struggled with palpitations (usually the flip-flop feeling) for a few years now. After wearing a heart monitor for a month and several tests, my cardiologist has found nothing wrong with my heart other than a tendency for mild episodes of tachycardia (racing heart).

For the past two weeks I have experienced sharp stabbing pain in the right side of my chest which radiates down my right arm. Concerned, I spoke with a new cardiologist who agreed that my heart sounded fine but scheduled a stress and echo test.

Two nights ago I experienced sharp, burning pain in my lower right leg along with intense palpitations and numbness. Last night I experienced all of the same symptoms along with a painful migraine which effected only the right side of my brain and lasted at least a few hours until I thankfully fell asleep.

I plan to complete the two tests recommended by my cardiologist. However, I am worried that my situation may stem from a neurological disorder. My struggle with anxiety has only made it worse and I find myself wondering if a brain tumor is a possibility. Any insight would be helpful and appreciated.
