... Many states require by law that the imaging centers notify women who have dense breasts. Alabama does and that's a good thing so that we know things can hide in there so we need to be vigilant about getting our mamograms...and 3D if at all possible!!! (4 replies)

DCIS questions

... After 2 mamograms showing microcalcifications, & a stereotactic biopsy with results of atypical cells, I recently had surgery to remove the questionable cells from my left breast. I was diagnosed with DCIS, micro papillary. He said the size was 1.2 cm. The surgeon wants to go back in to remove more tissue until he gets a clear margin. He wants to wait a few weeks to give... MRI & Mammogram?

... I think you should get the mri. MY mammogram showd clear even though the dr found a lump. Mri showed2 lumps which turned out to be cancer. Mamograms are not always right. I hope you got the mri! ... (1 replies)

... A couple of years ago I developed an inverted nipple. Since then I've had three breast exams by my MD, as well as two mamograms - all came back fine. A new doctor took over my MD's practice and I had a health review with her. I told her about this and she said, "You probably don't need another mamogram until you're 50." I just turned 40. Large breast lunp

... hi all My wife has large breasts and regularly does breast exams also she has had mamograms 2or 3 times in the last year or so, Anyway she woke up yesterday morning with a visable lump in her l breast when feeeling it it is very sore, this lump is at least the size of a golf ball or larger she goes in the morning for u/s and mamo but doeas anyone know or have a similier... Nipple inverting

... I had one nipple invert and my doctor was concerned. However, after an exam and two mamograms I was given a clean bill of health. Of course, I don't have a lump or infection. Tell your sister to go through with the tests but not to worry too much. ... (2 replies)
Inverted Nipple

... Interesting. I don't have itching, pain or any other symptoms. I just lost a bunch of weight (size 12 to size 6 in just over a year) and then one side inverted. I do take meds for hypothyroidism though - maybe that's the connection (?) I'm 38 and have not had a period in almost 2 years. I had a breast exam at my doctors office, and two mamograms. ... Hi, Sorry this is so long .. I found a strange lump in my right breast a couple of nights ago and got into my GYN today. It's not so much a lump, as it is a very tiny pin-head type of feeling - sometimes it's hard to find, but once I do - it's definitley there. I had a mamogram only 2 months ago and it was normal. ... I am 46 and my breast hurt a lot. I did have a small painful lump and it turned out to be cyst and I had to have it drained with a needle. They say I am pre menopause. I go 4 months at a time with no periods and then there back. I have regular mamograms. No hot flashes yet. I guess I just feel warmer than I have felt in a long long time. Stay well. ... Take my advice when I say the ultra sounds, mamograms, MRI's sometimes do not detect breast cancer. I am 25 years old and found a small lump as well back in feb. they did all those tests and still couldnt find anything. Finally this Oct they decided to biopsy it was come to find out it was breast cancer. Please just have them do a biopsy its the safest way to detect it. I was... (4 replies)
