Cerebral Palsy Board Index

Hi,
My daughter has just recently been diagnosed with mild left hemi cerebral palsy. She has just had her first appointment with the physio who has said she is actually doing really well. She then sent me away without no exercises for my daughter and said she would see me in 1 months time for a cast fitting as she needs a splint to help her walk. She also said that the spasticity in her left arm may become more evident as she grows. Surely though some exercises on a regular basis should be advised to me to try and reduce the affect she has later on in her arm. Anybody give advice on this on what I should do?????

Also, what I really wanted to know is for the past couple of days (whilst walking with her walker) a recent achivement, been noticeably dragging her right leg. Her left leg is 1.5cm smaller than her right so would this be the cause of the problem now in her right. My husband also pointed this out to me the other day as well.

My daughter attends private day care 1 day a week and yesterday when I went to collect her they informed me of some bruises on her legs and also one on her bum. She is not walking round on her own so I cannot see how this can have happened. I feel like I have a million questions running through my head and I don't know who to speak to. Has this happened to any other child out there with spastic hemiplegia????
