Well, I was in casts from my ankles to my thighs for four weeks...Sleeping was the worst part about that, because evidently having my legs straight increased tone in my trunk, and I would wake up with a horribly aching back every morning. That, and I'm one of those people that likes to toss and turn every couple minutes, and I had to sleep on my back :)...but anyway... ... (11 replies)

Hip surgery

... My son had adductor surgery (as well as hamstring lenthening and achilles tendon release) in Nov. 2000. While he was able to walk before...now, he still isn't able to stand. **DEMAND a prescription for Valium for muscle spasms post-op... and keep some for after the casts come off!! Spasms, jerking, and cramping will begin after casts come off.. this is something the Dr.'s... (5 replies)

Strabismus surgeries- Well, I like being able to see properly (at least with glasses or contacts!), so good move there. Oral/Jaw surgeries- Neutral, but glad my face is straight! Botox injections

... lp you with serial casting but I have had botox injections, infact today was round 4 for the year! I received them in the posterior tibialis, the gastrocs, the achilles tendon area, and several in the hamstrings. I also wear a brace. My CP is very mild and only effects my left side. ...
