I have basically adopted the eating principles found in most Mediterranean diets. I also eat alot of bananas and grapes. I was eating quite a bit of nuts - fresh nuts not roasted or salted. For breakfeast I either have a low fat granola type of cereal with either skim milk or non fat yogurt with fruit, lunch would be a can of tuna(low sodium packed in water) with some small red potatoes and poured a little BBQ sauce for flavor. I have cut the potatoes out and now eat Brocolli in its place. Dinner would consist of either chicken or fish and veggies. I am now reading a booked called "The 8-Week Cholesterol Cure" and will be implementing some of his suggestions to my diet. Mainly in the form of Oat Bran.
Supplements I have just started to take - CQ10, Milk Thistle and Apple Cider Vinegar, Niacin, Cholesterol Free Fish oil, Spirulina, and a multivitamin.
I am basically trying to cut out ALL processed foods out of my diet and just eat whole foods consisting of breads, fruit, veggies, fish, low fat dairy, and little chicken and beef.
