I think in this case it's appropriate to say congratulations on your loss :)

I would LOVE to find wheat tortillas, since I've switched from white breads to wheat, but I looked and couldn't find such a thing. I always keep tortillas around because I love to fill them with lean meats and veggies and use the tortillas in place of bread when I want a sandwich. I'll have to keep my eye open for those.

Your HDL numbers look pretty good, like the others said. My HDL was around 60, but my BIG problem is my triglyceride numbers. Terribly high. So I too have been taking fish oil.

35-40 is considered a 'normal' HDL level. The things that raise HDL, from what I have read (I've done much research on this whole subject since the doctor gave me the news about my cholesterol), is exercise and weight loss. Those are two. Exercise that raises your heart rate for at least 20 minutes at a time will raise HDL levels.

Trans fats will LOWER HDL and RAISE LDL. Watch how much trans fat you eat and read labels carefully. Anything that contains "partially hydrogenated oils" will have trans fat.

Believe it or not, alcohol can raise HDL levels when taken in moderation. One to two drinks per day has been shown to raise good cholesterol. But anything beyond that and you're risking health problems. I'd use that one as a last resort, unless you already drink. If you do, cut back on that as well.

Increasing monounsaturated fats (canola oil, avocado oil, or olive oil and in the fats found in peanut butter) can increase HDL cholesterol levels without increasing the total cholesterol.

Speaking of avocado oil, avocados alone have been shown to lower LDL and raise HDL. If you love avocados, you're in luck.

And, of course, fiber. Soluble fiber acts as a 'sponge' in your blood, soaking up bad cholesterols and raising the good.
