Total Cholesterol= 240
HDL= 80
LDL= 170 (bad I know)
Trig= 32

This was when I was eating good :eek:
Those are excellent numbers, especially your high HDL level and very low triglyceride level. And don't worry about that LDL of 170 because that number isn't accurate. See, on the majority of lipid tests the lab measures total cholesterol, HDL, and triglycerides but they calculate LDL rather than measure it. The formula they use to calculate it is LDL=TC-HDL-Triglycerides/5, but this is only an approximation. That formula works pretty good for triglycerides in the normal range of approximately 100 to 200. With triglycerides above 200, and especially above 400, that calculation tends to underestimate the actual LDL. On the other hand, with triglycerides below 100 and especially below 50, that calculation tends to overestimate the amount of LDL. So, in reality, you likely have far less LDL than 170. And to top it off, low triglyceride levels are associated with low levels of the small dense LDL pattern B which is considered the most harmful form of LDL.

From the numbers you have posted, I see nothing to be worried about. Keep eating and doing whatever it was you were doing.
