By the way does anyone know if zorcor can cause ED - my husband has had a recent problem just since taking the zocor and thought it may be related
Yes, ED is a side effect of Zocor and most cholesterol & blood pressure lowering drugs.

From RxList.... Side Effects for Zocor
Reproductive:
- gynecomastia
- loss of libido
- erectile dysfunction
Partner gets Zocor 40's and splits them. Only way to get symmetrical pieces is lengthwise from tip to tip of the skewed diamond shape (top to bottom of the heart shape?)
BEST method is to score them lightly with a razor blade (safety kind) and snap them cleanly with the fingers. Pill splitters are next best but sometimes they become PILL CRUSHERS.

Our hard task is when they send some 80 mg. and we have to whack them into quarters...now THAT takes the finesse of a diamond cutter

Anything you take for cholesterol can possibly cause ED...anything for hypertension probably WILL!
How NICE for us men!:(

ED is erectile dysfunction

From the Injury Board:
Fibromyalgia syndromes include many disorders which affect soft tissue such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. The various conditions are characterized by pain and stiffness in such areas. While fibromyalgia is not dangerous, the condition can be debilitating. The exact causes of fibromyalgia are not known; however, the condition seems to be brought on by stress, lack of sleep, certain infections and injuries, exposure, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Recently an FDA study suggested a possible, although not confirmed, connection between silicone breast implants and fibromyalgia.

In addition, cholesterol lowering drugs such as Baycol, Lipitor, Zocor, Pravachol, Lescol and Me****r, all members of the statin family of drugs, may cause rhabdomyolysis, a condition that is sometimes misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia.
