First, take a few deep breaths. You'll be fine. Your HDL is great and actually bring your ratios down to reasonable levels. Check my recent thread on the Framingham Risk Assessment.(also use a search engine for more info on Framingham). Assuming you don't smoke, at your age and with your levels, you're probably at about a 1% (or less) risk of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). Exercise and diet would be great but exercise is more likely going to make your HDL go up. Your HDL is pretty good so you may want to try Niacin and see if it will bring your Total down (it will also boost your HDL). Also, Fish Oil (try 3 or 4 grams per day) will help your TG's and possibly your total levels. Finally, most agree that alcohol in moderation is positive for your heart. Especially, red wine (again in moderation).
