Research the HDL raisers and incorporate them in your diet, like onions, nuts, almonds, walnuts, orange juice. I eat oatmeal and put in a tablespoon of peanut butter to add protein after it comes out of the microwave while it's hot, the peanut butter melts in it and tastes so good!

You could try sugar cane Policosanol, I take 20 mgs. at night, it's an HDL raiser and LDL lowerer. My HDL went from 57 to 78 following my changes, and I didn't get much exercise because I hurt my knee.

Ask for the VAP cholesterol test next time, it will give you the sub-types of HDL and LDL that you have, one type of LDL is more dangerous than the other.

Good luck!
