Dang! You and your doctor are taking a risk by combining Tricor with a statin.
The combined use of TriCor and statin drugs is not advised since it may produce potentially serious side effects that could lead to acute renal failure.
While this combination is often effective in patients with complex lipid disorders, the potential for side effects may be increased and such patients should be under strict medical supervision.
I sure hope you have a complex lipid disorder to justify the risk.
