I have been taking Niaspan for some time and occasionally I have the itchy, flushing symptoms. Originally my GP told be to take an aspirin before the Niaspan and I was taking an .81mg aspirin and it seem to help but not all the time. He then told me to switch to one Advil one half hour before the Niaspan and I haven’t had any problems since. Give it a try.
