1. As I'm trying to find a medium between my weightlifting diet and my cholesterol diet I'm finding it hard to keep my cholesterol under 300 mg due to all the protein I eat. I try and get 200 grams of protein a day. 1 can of tuna yields about 28 grams of protein and 25 mgs of cholesterol. The chicken breasts I eat are about 25 grams of protein and 50 mgs cholesterol. My protein shake is about 20 grams protein and 70 mg cholesterol. Without eating 8 cans of tuna or 8 chicken breasts I need atleast a shake or two but their cholesterol count is too high to keep my cholesterol under 300mgs for the day. So, my question is: Are there any types of fish that yield lower cholesterol per serving than the ones I'm eating?

2. Any suggestions on a good cereal? I'm not too sure whether or not typical cereal is even good for people with cholesterol problems.

Hello, You might want to try the exercise and fitness board. There are a lot of body builders on there that eat lots of lean protein. It's the total fat, sat. fat, and trans. fats that are the problem. Egg whites have protein, so you could probably get away with 1 whole egg and a whole bunch of egg whites. Fresh salmon is always a good idea. Tuna and salmon have "good" fats that are supposed to help lower cholesterol. Then there's the vegetarian body builders...Nuts also have "good" fats. You're doing good with the white chicken meat...No skin, right? There are lean red meats out there too. I'm not sure I understand the need for the protein powder, if you eat a lot of protein rich food?
