That is interesting. I also read that the FDA is investigating (or considering investigating, I forget) Vytorin, after several studies showed a slight increase in cancer among those taking it.

I expect the ideal LDL for most people is within the 100-130 range, but only if the LDL is mostly large particle, their HDL levels are decent, and triglycerides are below 100.

It's weird, but lots of studies tend to just look at LDL levels... like the study on Crestor, where super low LDL levels reduced plaque a tiny bit. But would LDL at 110, all large particle, HDL of 50, trigs under 100, Vit D levels normalized, do the same thing... or better? No money in testing for that, it seems.
