... ns. The main difference is that the composition of RYR has not be altered. It is simply a red yeast that grows on rice. RYR can NOT be taken in addition to other cholesterol lowering drugs. ... There are lots of recommendations on this board and a few others I've come across: cinnamon, Omega 3 EFA's, blueberries, capsicum , Guggul, Policosanol and red yeast rice . These are all natural alternatives to prescription meds. (21 replies)
