... Karen, You're numbers are life-threatening given your familial history. Personally I think you will eventiually need statins for anything approaching decent control. While nursing or in the first trimester of pregnancy, the statins are contraindicated as jblondi indicated. You can work around these if you choose....bottle feeding, timing conceptions.
