... Wow, you lowered your triglycerides 250 points just by taking fish oil and exercizing? That's incredible. I do have fish oil pills - I should get up and take them right this second, or I'll forget (done!) - but just need to remember to take them. ... Thanks, actually I also had a CAT scan done on my chest and had no blockages (this was 2 years ago). When I did go in for the Ultrasound, they put the scope from my stomach all the way up to my heart. Thallium stress test? Gonna try it! (15 replies)

Kittydaddy, If you look carefully at the site you posted, you'll see that they refer to doppler testing for stroke/carotid artery, abdominal aorta, and peripheral artery blockages (arms and legs). I repeat, there is NO ultrasound technique, doppler or otherwise that can determine with any degree of accuracy the presence or absence of CORONARY artery blockages. Those... (15 replies)
... Just my opinion, but I would rather have high numbers then a damaged liver. Seeing U had a great report about your arteries, I would try to keep my numbers as low as possible with diet and exercise. If U have no risk factors, like heart disease etc. and your arteries are clean, why take something that is messing up your liver? JMHO (15 replies)
... Well, I tend to agree with you on both counts. And, since your arteries are clear, I would stay away from Lipitor. This whole cholesterol theory is so chock full of holes that it isn't even funny.
