The age of your father when he had his procedure, certainly puts you at a modest risk as well as your boderline BP. Your "program" does seem a bit harsh though. Re the "flushing" I experienced with Zocor. About 30 minutes after taking the first pill I felt quite warm, which persisted until about noon the following day.
