... Your #'s aren't that bad..with exception of TRIGs...and that was not too bad when you were on fish oil. What's the dosage you're on with Crestor? It can be very effective at 5 mg. I just started on 5mg (split the 10) 4X a week and 10mg 3X. That's about the ave equivalent of 7 mg daily. I would try the 5 mg dose daily and see if the symptoms abate. Good luck! (7 replies)

... That is great Rahod. I quit taking my Crestor one week ago because I was having such terrible flu-like symptoms. I'm going to start taking 5 mg per day (I was on 10 mg per day for 3 weeks or so) and see how that goes. I'm going to go and get a pill splitter at WalMart tomorrow. In my mother;s family, cholesterol ranges from 300 to well above 400 and my mother is 90. ... I'm at 93 LDL :) ...if it's cost you're concerned with...CRESTOR dosages are all the same :D and 10 mg of that will outperform the 10 Lipitor. So....if you can get your Doc to Rx you 20 mg, you can split 'em ;). I now split my 10's and take the 5mg 3X and 10mg 4X a week. BTW...I took Lipitor for 5 years (then quit for 2) and had some *problems*. With Crestor, I have none. (19 replies)
