... I've been taking Niaspan for a couple of years now. Started with 1000mg, then increased to 2000mg. My doctor said the same thing about taking aspirin or tylenol just prior to taking the niaspan, but I found that did not help any. What I found that really helps is to eat something just minutes before taking it. ... (10 replies)
