I was prescribed tricor...and its not a statin but acts like a statin...and I just took 1 pill and that was it...I had a little intestinal thing before taking it..but felt fine later and thought hmm i feel ok..so I took the tricor...well, within abt 2 hrs...my spine felt tight and up to my head then later my brain and I was barely able to sleep..I went to sleep and then woke... ... Are you sure these numbers ar right? You're not confusing good with bad? I've rarely seen HDL (good cholesterol) over 100, let alone 225 and HDL can never be too high. And your bad cholesterol isn't too high either. HDL is usually LOWER than LDL, or about equal at best... I can't get my head around this one... :confused: (23 replies)

... taking Tricor along with lipitor , this is a major no ,no and I would stop this immediately , this is what killed the people taking Baycol and a fibrate of which tricor is a member . If you have major muscles aches and pains you need to get a blood test pronto to have liver function and cpk levels checked . ... (15 replies)
