... You may not need any drug treatment at all. What was your LDL(bad)? If your HDL (good) was around 55 and your TRIG was good, then your LDL should be around 175. If you have NO OTHER RISK FACTORS, then your LDL should be under 160 according to the guidelines (see my recent post on the "Crestor Risk Calculator"). ... d1940,you can buy home cholesterol tests at pretty much any drug store but I'll warn you I did one the morning of my lab blood work and the home test read me way under the lab did.
