... Hi Missy, Thanks for the reply...thanks for the info as well. I have done quite a bit of research on the internet about the cause and cure for the triglyceride issue. I opted to try a vitamin regimin instead of the tricor. I am going to do this for 3 months and then go back to get my blood work done (this May) again to see if it works. ... Even though you're young, I'd be concerned about that low HDL too. As Lenin said, the best way to control triglycerides without medication is to lose weight, exercise, and lower (or preferably come as close as possible to eliminating) alcohol and the "white stuff" (i.e. flour and sugar) in your diet. ... hi again,i had my cholesterol blood tests done again!! last test 6 montha ago cholesterol was 8.3, i had a cup of tea befor this test!! my new results are whole cholesterol 6.3 .LDL 3.9 HDL 1.5 and tri 1.8 i am taking 10 mg simsivatin and have changed my diet,ps i do smoke and like my wine but will be giving this up soon with the help from the nurse ,are my numbers that bad...
