... Turns out he is not on Statins but a drug called Trilipix, to lower his triglycerides. He does exercise - rides his bike every day and doesn't eat junk food or a lot of carbs. He obviously has a genetic component. I have suggested to him my regime of supplements: RYR, COQ10, Flush Niacin and Krill Oil. This lowered my genetically high numbers to the low risk category. ... I've tried several statins, finally got some relief after being treated by a doctor in another city where I spend a lot of time. First, we stopped simvastatin for a week. The cramps stopped.
