Hi im from Scotland, about 2 and a half years ago i was diagnosed with having CFS or post viral fatigue as we tend to call it here, i was tested positive for glandular fever/mono and following that i was then told CFS as the symptoms didnt clear up, i had a heart scan because i suffered from what i call a missing beat which i still feel everything was fine with my heart , i also had a brain scan which said everything was fine aswell, i firstly had glandular fever when i was 7 years old it can lie dormant all your life and then come back again i was told, anyway you probably have similar problems with vision and breathing and digestion muscle aches and low stamina also brain fatigue and tripping over your words along with more symptoms im sure , the good thing is the CFS isnt damaging your body what damages the body is deconditioning caused by no exercise , i firstly couldnt exercise through fear as i felt so bad when i did i though i must have cancer or something cause i feel so bad then i went to see a specialist in CFS which is rare in the UK as its not really truly accepted , he says stress caused the illness along with anxiety and the mono a combintaion of things also having a genetic weakness to it may also contribute as my family have had it too, ANYWAY what i would recommend is first of all cognitive behaviour therapy this helps you accept your illness in my case anyway, second of all dont fear the illness it wont kill you or damage your heart or anything, thirdly its a stress related illness so you need to de-stress yourself meaning relaxtion which you need to train your body too do e.g breathing exercises, relaxtion tapes , meditation, fourthly go on a yeast free diet ie cut out the candida yeast overgrowth which is very closely related to CFS do you ever feel ill when you eat? thats the toxins being trapped in your system the body cant get rid of them like it used to so it builds up and makes you feel panicky, and leads to lots of problems detox the chemicals from your body, finally dont dwell on the illness thats what it wants you to do CFS is a battle of the mind but its your mind not the illnesses , i still have symptoms bad days and good days but i have accepted the illness , instead of saying now what if this ot that , i say so what is this the best it can do, i know its devastating but it can also be life changing for the better, before i wasnt that appreciative of life now i am , remeber you cant rush step by step is the cure p.s remeber the diet its the most important it will releave some symptoms and try cocunut oil bye
