Does anyone have any ideas how I can help myself? For the past 20 years I have been plagued with recuring Bronchitus (sp?) which induces asthma. It always starts with green pleghm and usually doesn't go away on its own for weeks. When I do go to the doctors they give me antibiotics, but I've built up immunity to those and now need higher doses. So, two questions, firstly, why do I keep getting this? Is there something I can do to protect myself and stay healthy?

And, secondly, I have it now, again, only this time it's different: same loud, annoying cough (constantly trying to bring pleghm up but it's so sticky have to cough harder and louder), no flu or cold symptoms like usual, have a constant severe sore throat for two weeks now (swelling in glands on neck, no white spots inside back throat)and now weirdly enough my lower back has severe pain (most especially when sneezing or coughing). This time it all started with one ear feeling sore behind it if that makes sense. Does anyone know what this is? I'm trying to let it run it's course and have my body fight it itself but doesn't seem to really be going away. Should I go to the doctor and risk more antibiotics?
