It is important the gastroenterologist know what your lung condition is. I had my pulmonolgist call and talk to him. What they use and how much will depend on your situation as i am sure they will use less on someone with worse lungs. Sometimes in severe lung cases they can't do a scope but you have to be pretty severe. In general surgery they usually put you on a respirator anyway, good or bad lungs.

Now, Mudlark, what do you call tired lungs? Have you had pulmonary function tests? did you have both scopes on the same day. I am thinking about doing that and just wonder how tough it will be. I have always had them seperate days but this year I have to have both so thinking about killing two birds, opps, bad choice of words. I will never have a colonoscopy without sedation but might do the endo.
