I know that many of you are busy with your own problems, after all this is a forum for cancer! I hate to bother you. I have posted a question about blood disorders in another forum but I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question.

I'm 22 years old, and I have had constipation for the past 3 years. I generally go every 3-4 days, and that is normal for me. For the past month my stool has been very thin and long, which was very abnormal for me. I was still only going every 3 days. It would hurt for me to go, and I wasn't sure why.

For the past 3 days I have gone TWICE a day, that is NOT NORMAL for me by any means. The first BM I had three days ago was followed by a small amount of bright red blood. It was the typical large BM, and not thin like it has been lately. I assumed it was from a fissure or hemorrhoid. It was painful, but it is always painful for me to go. I also have had blood yesterday and today after going the first time (no blood the 2nd time I went each day). I feel as though I still have to go and I have been very gassy, I also have a very full feeling in my stomach and have been nauseous. There was a small amount of mucous (or SOMETHING, I don't even know what) mixed with the blood on the TP.

My question is this. I am still waiting for my health insurance to kick in. I have an appointment on the 7th of Dec with my Dr, he felt tenderness on my right side of my abdomen and wants to do an ultrasound once I get insurance. I have only met him one time prior to now. He works from a clinic so I am sure he is booked until then anyways, but do you think I should call and schedule an appointment sooner or just wait, and if the bleeding has stopped by then should I bring it up any ways? I know that most of the time it is not from a serious cause.

Thanks for all of your help,:jester:
