... There is one person I know of that is waiting still after one year. My case is different , I have a permanent colostomy. I could feel the scar tissue under the skin at the site of the stoma for a good six months. It did not cause any obstruction in my case and now (4 years later) I feel no scar tissue there. Your friend might have to wait 6 months or longer but things... (3 replies)
... Jaydees: Thank you for your response. Is it common-that scar tissue might be obstructing? If it is, is it most likely that it will dissipate or does the scar tissue mean that she will most likely need to go back to the colostomy. I'll put an Osto EZ Vent on the pouch to make gas release easier. My only complaint with this product is the closure - I'll use a Convatec clip instead of the "twist-tie" they provide - and the pouch material tends to make crinkley noises if... (46 replies)
... e ileo changed to a colostomy. I've heard so many stories about how reversals never seem to work right and the bowel never seems to function "normally" again. My colostomy by no means slows me down and some days I almost forget it's there. I can eat whatever I want and feel great! ... (23 replies)
Colon Resection

... years ago a small bowel resection for a constricture, May 03 lower colon resection, rectum removal and ileostomy and Nov.03 ileostomy closure and colostomy. For all 3 surgeries I had a PCA and found it worked great for me. I hardly used it after the second day. ... (9 replies)
