Presacral masses with high glucose uptake would most likely represent a local recurrence of the cancer, which happens in 30+% of cases even with what seems curative surgery with clear margins and no nodes. I am surprised they didn't explore/biopsy this mass when ileostomy take-down was done. I would be sure you are seeing an oncologist and get a second... (7 replies)
