Hello, just wondering if anyone has heard of this lifestyle lift? It has been featured on many tv news and magazines across the country. It says that in just an hour it can take care of loose neck, some wrinkles, deepening folds, sagging skin etc. It is an hour procedure with no down time and most go to work the next day, no cutting involved just a local anesthetic.. It is invented by Dr David M Kent. They say it is affordable to everyone.

Well, I have a consultation in a week. So if anyone knows anything please let me know!!! When I come back I will let you all know!!! You would think by this day and age they would have something besides a traditional facelift to make our faces more youthful and tighter and a bit younger looking, don't you think?

Thanks Wendy
Sounds real good to me but I have to admit I've never heard of it. Can you please keep me and the board informed. Thx and good luck
I am extremely...EXTREMELY interested in knowing more about this procedure. I have a call in, to the 1-800 number but would love for you to keep us/me informed about your consulation and if you go through the procedure, your results.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I want to reiterate that I am very, very intersted in what you find out about this procedure. The pictures on their website are awesome but no doubt, those are the best results.

I did read one criticism on a website I found that said she bruised terrribly and ended up with swelling that has yet to recede after three months. She also said, three months post surgert she went to swing a golf club and one side of her face separated from the surgery site.
Heard Very Bad Things About It. The Results Do Not Last Long At All, A Year If You're Lucky. The Threads Could Break Leaving Sagging In Areas. Heard This From Very Credible, Great Reputation Plastic Surgeons. None That I Have Talked About It To Will Even Perform The Surgery. They Are Adamantly Against It. As Far As 72 Hr. Downtime That Is A Complete Lie.
I would like to hear from someone that has had that procedure also. They make it sound very, very appealing on the commercials. If anyone has a consultation, please post and let us know what you find out! :)
I can tell you ABSOLUTELY tell you this surgery is a good, effective procedure! And believe me, I did my research beforehand. Unfortunately there are rumors abound regarding this. I had mine 6 months ago and am very happy with it. I also know several other women who have had it and also are happy.

And no, what PattyG says is NOT true at all! First off, there are no threads to "break", there are internal and external stitches like any facelift. You also the the stitching, swelling, brusing and numbness that comes with any facelift. It is not a day down and go back to work in 2 days type thing, which, unfortunately is what they say. But, from research, I knew that so that was not an issue.

Must of the confusion about this surgery, is in fact it is the same procedure being done and has been for many years in PS's offices everywhere! It is very similar to the SMAS lift. The difference is it is marketed under a different name. My Dr. has his own private practice outside where he does these all the time.

The attraction to this is: people do not want to be put to sleep, and you are NOT, but are given something to relax you, then lidocaine in injected around the incision sites to numb you, just like at the dentist. you are then incised, muscle, tissue are pulled up, stitched into place, then excess skin is pulled up and cut away, just like a traditional FL. I had incisions from the top of my ears, down around the front and up behind them, about halfway. It is NOT a little nip tuck. The price difference here is because you do not pay seperate anesthesia fees, etc.

Any mainstream surgeon is not going to say good things about it because that's not what they do at these prices, and if they said good things, then they would lose some business. Sort of like the relationship between physicians and Chiropractors.

Any questions, feel free to ask me. :)
Wow thanks for posting about your experience. The commercials shown in my area are really impressive. Did you think your results were drastic? I like it because of the not being put under thing. Plus I have heard the cost was only around 5K. Was that close to what you paid? If that's not too personal. I hope to get it done in the next year. Thanks for all your info. :)

Hi,

The commercials are a little "glitzy", the results are very good, but no, I would not say they are drastic. Any facelift of any kind should not show drastic results though, you shoud look anywhere from very refreshed to a lot better, ideally, you should have people look at you and ask or wonder if you have a new hairstyle, new makeup, lost weight, etc. ;) That's what nearly everyone has told me who's had a facelift told me that people said to them.

I paid $3,800 for the lift and an extra $300 for the lipo at the neck. They often run those promotional prices, and it's not hard to get in on that price. :)

Probably the best thing to do is call them and ask for a consultation, make sure you specify you want to see the Dr. that day. Then ask all the questions you can think of, take a list if need be. :D
Thanks for the info. It's nice to talk to someone who has actually had it done. The price is not bad at all. I don't want or expect to look drastically younger. I just want to look like myself and lets face it, once you hit 50, you don't look like yourself anymore! lol!
Now that it is 3 years out, are you still satisfied with the results?
